Industrial Tech-Ed Program
In this video, we pay a visit to Williams Bay High School in Wisconsin to see what’s happening in its Industrial Tech-Ed program, which gives students hands-on experience with a wide variety of real-world equipment they’ll encounter in modern manufacturing facilities equipped with the latest Industry 4.0 advanced automation technologies.
Industrial Tech Ed instructor Jacob White leads the elective program that teaches students topics that include “pneumatic controls, AC/DC electric, smart sensors, hydraulic controls, relay controls, and industrial robotics.” According to White, students “not only learn about them, how they work and how they function, but also how they can interact and integrate those things together, which gives them a basis to be creative and to approach problems differently.”
